Dunkin’ Plans to Launch Spiked Iced Coffees and Iced Teas in 12 States: Responding to the Increasing Demand for Adult Beverages
Dunkin’ has revealed its upcoming launch of Spiked Iced Coffees and Iced Teas in 12 states by the end of August, as stated in a recent press release.
This announcement follows a previous collaboration between Dunkin’ and Harpoon Brewery, where three coffee-inspired beers were introduced last year. Brian Gilbert, the Vice President of Retail Business Development at Dunkin’, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for creating something unique after the positive reception of their prior Dunkin’-inspired beer collaborations.
Gilbert pointed out the noticeable “growing appetite for adult beverages” as a driving force behind the company’s decision to add a new twist to their popular products. He highlighted that Dunkin’ Spiked offers versatility for consumption during the day or evening, with eight distinct flavors planned for availability in grocery and package stores later in the month.
According to Gilbert, this fresh line of ready-to-drink adult beverages enhances Dunkin’s product range, targeting their audience of fans aged 21 and above who are expected to embrace every flavorful sip.
The Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffee will feature an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 6%, and it will be offered in four flavors: original, caramel, mocha, and vanilla. It is noteworthy that these products will contain less caffeine compared to a standard cup of coffee.
Backlash Among Dunkin’ Consumers Following Alterations in Rewards Program
The Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Tea is designed with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 5%. This variant will be accessible in four distinct flavors: Dunkin’ Spiked Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, Dunkin’ Spiked Half & Half Iced Tea, Dunkin’ Spiked Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea Refresher, and Dunkin’ Spiked Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher.
According to the press release, the Slightly Sweet Iced Tea and Spiked Half & Half Iced Tea will be crafted using black tea, while the other two flavors will be formulated with green tea.
The Slightly Sweet Iced Tea is described as “refreshingly sweet with a bright citrus finish, accompanied by a twist of lemon flavor,” as stated in the press release.
Both the spiked iced coffees and spiked iced teas will be available in 12-can assortments, encompassing three 12 oz. cans of each flavor.
The Original Spiked Iced Coffee and Slightly Sweet Spiked Iced Tea variations will also be offered in four-packs of 12 oz. cans, as well as individual 19.2 oz. cans, the press release elucidates.
The spiked iced teas will be on sale starting from late August, followed by the introduction of the spiked iced coffees in early September, as per Dunkin’s statement.
“These beverages will be accessible through retailers across Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, and Vermont,” the press release asserts. Additionally, a “product finder” tool is slated to be available on the official Dunkin’ Spiked website in the near future.
